My Way (Not Rated)

Korean, Japanese, Russian, German and Chinese with English subtitles

In the epic war drama My Way, Korean native Kim Jun-shik (Jang Dong-gun, The Warrior's Way) and Japanese aristocrat Tatsuo Hasegawa (Joe Odagiri), are bitter rivals and enemies as young marathon runners. When both men find themselves in the Japanese army in World War II—Jun-shik is there under duress, while Tatsuo is a colonel—they fight the Chinese and Soviets in a bloody battle. After both are taken prisoner by the Soviets and then by the Nazis, and forced to fight for each side in turn in the European theater, their mutual hatred and mistrust boils over into a violence that is only stopped by the continuing horror of the war. Bonded together by history, they struggle to survive one more terrible battle at Normandy Beach as the Allies arrive on D-Day. Directed and co-written Kang Je-kyu (Tae Guk Gi: The Brotherhood of War).
